Lord Ganesha has been made in white marble. Ganesh ji's mouse has also been shown. Lord Ganesha used to travel on his mouse. Ganesh ji is sitting on a lotus. This is the most preffered form of Ganesh ji all over the world. However we can make Ganesh ji in other styles depending upon client's choice. Lord Ganesh is said to be Vighan harta - Remover of Obstacles. In every pooja, first of all Lord Ganesh is worshipped and thereafter the pooja is started. Lord Shiva, father of Ganesh ji, blessed him that he will be worshipped first for any auspictious occassion and for any pooja. Ganesh ji loves laddu. The sweet round thing which he is shown holding in his front left hand. That is why whenever we do Ganesh poojan we offer laddus to him. Ganesh ji ki Jai !
